Submissions are now open for the 2024 JIFF Short Film Fund.

JIFF is seeking treatments and scripts for films under 10 minutes that are universally engaging, entertaining and able to resonate with audiences from all backgrounds. The entries are open to all filmmakers who are Australian residents.

A total grant pool of $10,000 is available for the production of two short films incorporating a Jewish theme, character or story arc.

The 2023 Fund was awarded to local filmmakers Carolyn Saul for her documentary project Mahjong and Mahashas, alongside Stephanie Osztreicher and Chris Bennett for their narrative short Stones.

Applications close on April 1st, 2024.
