June 1, 1943. Flight 777, a passenger aircraft on the Lisbon–Bristol route, is attacked by German fighters. The plane is shot down into the sea and, tragically, there are no survivors. Among the passengers was the head of the Secret Service in Lisbon, the director of the London Jewish Agency, and British actor, Leslie Howard: a Jew, anti-Nazi propagandist and a Hollywood dandy.
A tale of intrigue and glamour, this film recreates the days surrounding the fateful incident, immersing viewers in the uncertainty surrounding the tragic event. Was Leslie Howard a spy, or was it simply ill-fated coincidence that he was on board Flight 777?
