The JIFF Short Film Fund has now closed submissions!
The Fund’s goal is to create opportunities for emerging filmmakers in Australia, and to encourage and support the production and exhibition of short films on themes that engage with Jewish life, history and culture.
For 2017, two grants of $5000 are available for the production of a short film (drama, animation or factual) with a Jewish theme, character or story arc that is able to resonate with both Jewish and general audiences. Delivery of the completed films will be required by October 2017 to be premiered at the 2017 Jewish International Film Festival.
Maximum length – 10 minutes. The judging panel is drawn from experienced professionals in the Australian film and television industry and the scheme is open to all filmmakers resident in Australia. Applications for the 2017 fund are now closed.
Winners will be notified in early June.
