Yitzhak Rabin: a Soldier Devoted To Peace

Yitzhak Rabin: a Soldier Devoted To Peace

“We are destined to live together, on the same soil in the same land… We say to you today in a loud and clear voice: Enough of blood and tears. Enough.” Yitzhak Rabin

In 1995, Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin was assassinated by an ultranationalist following a rally in Tel Aviv. Now, twenty years after his tragic death, this documentary looks back at a man of courage who devoted his life to his county, who was committed to bringing peace to his people. A former soldier who had fought on the ground in the 1948 war, and later led Israel to victory in the Six Day War as chief of staff of the Israeli Defense Forces, Rabin understood the true cost of conflict, and was determined to avoid it at all costs.
