Beyond the Mountains and Hills (Me’ever Laharim Vehagvaot) Belgium, Germany, Israel / 2015

“Like an Israeli American Beauty… a poignant and political family drama” — The Hollywood Reporter

Having retired after 27 years of military service, David faces existential uncertainty regarding his new civilian identity. Desperately seeking some form of catharsis, he innocuously sets into motion a series of events that plunges his family into the unknown. Beyond the Mountains and Hills toys with chance and misfortune and slowly lifts the facade of a seemingly perfect family.
