What is JIFF?

JIFF - or the Jewish International Film Festival - brings the best of Jewish-themed and Israeli films to cinemas across Australia. JIFF builds on 30 years of Jewish film festivals in Australia, and presents a line-up of Australian premiere feature films and series alongside a program of special events. The films are series originate from Israel and the global Jewish diaspora; USA, Russia, Germany, France, Italy and Australia are just some of the countries represented.

When does JIFF screen?

JIFF returns to cinemas across Australia this October!

In Melbourne JIFF screens at Classic Cinemas, Elsternwick and Lido Cinemas, Hawthorn; in Sydney at Ritz Cinemas, Randwick and Roseville Cinemas; in Perth at Luna Cinemas Leederville; in Brisbane at New Farm Cinemas, in Canberra at Dendy Cinemas, Canberra; in Gold Coast at Dendy Cinemas, Southport; and in Hobart at the State Cinema.

Festival pass FAQs

Can I use the pass for more than one ticket to any given session?
No. Passes are valid for just one ticket to any given session or film. If you would like to go to several films with a partner or friend, we would recommend purchasing multiple festival passes.

If I purchase a pass to Classic Cinemas can I use it at Lido Cinemas and vice versa?
Yes, the pass will be valid at both cinemas.

If I purchase a pass to Ritz Cinemas can I use it for other cinemas in Sydney?
No, Ritz Cinemas is the only cinema in Sydney that accepts festival passes.

If I don’t use all my passes can I save it for a future JIFF?
No, passes will all expire at the end of this festival.

How many passes do I have left on my voucher?
You can enter your code HERE to check.

If I have a festival pass do I still need to get tickets?
Yes, you will need to redeem your pass for tickets online or in cinema.

Can I bring a group to JIFF?

Yes! You can read more about making a group booking at JIFF here.

How can I get a year-round fix of Jewish-themed content?

You can stream the best of past festivals on 'At Home', a new Video on Demand platform from Classic, Lido, Cameo and Ritz Cinemas or on the subscription-based 'Jewish Netflix' ChaiFlicks.

'At Home' allows you to bring the spirit of the cinemas with you to your living room, as you watch movies from our carefully curated collections of films from both local and international distributors. We cover everything from new and recent releases to hidden gems from extensive back catalogues, with some premium content, including JIFF films, that we’re proud to say is exclusive to this platform.
