Don't Cry When I'm Gone (Nie Płacz, Kiedy Odjadę)

Don't Cry When I'm Gone

Wanda Sieradzka was a Holocaust survivor, and a journalist, poet, translator, and TV producer. She also wrote lyrics to many Polish songs, and she was the writer of one of the biggest Polish hits "Nie płacz, kiedy odjadę". Created in 1961, the song resonated with generations of Poles and was one of the greatest hits of the ‘60s.

Slawomir Grünberg (Karski & The Lords of Humanity) brings to life this documentary presenting Sieradzka's fascinating and uneasy life.

Director Slawomir Grünberg will be a guest of the festival.
