H I Jew Positive

Every day, Catholic Poles discover that their parents kept their true, Jewish identity hidden from them. These are The New Jews of Poland. Screened at the Jerusalem Jewish Film Festival in 2013 HI Jew Positive tells the story of four second- and third-generation Holocaust survivors – over the course of 15 years – who have recently discovered the truth about their past and their families. The people that the documentary depicts are from all socioeconomic backgrounds, from villages, big cities and from across the country.

This is a story about the search for love and identity and a journey that takes the film’s protagonists – whose identities have been shattered – from Warsaw to Israel.
