“This moment in history demands a film like this where we can reflect on our accomplishments.” – The Times of Israel
This fascinating documentary marks the centenary of the Technion, Israel’s oldest university. Through a deep dive into the university’s archives, alongside interviews with dozens of its students and faculty members from all over the world, this film observes how the history of Israel itself is inextricably linked with the history of the Technion. Many of its graduates have been responsible for Israel’s very construction, as well as its high-tech industry and innovation.
From Albert Einstein’s visit to the Technion’s site in 1923, to its first class in 1924 and the four Nobel Prize winners in chemistry that have emerged from its study halls, the legacy of the Technion is inspiring. Not only is it a world-leader in sciences and engineering, but the Technion is well-regarded as a university that fosters education equally for men and women, as well as Arab students and students from Orthodox communities.
